Steamed Tofu &Fry Dou Miao

Steamed tofu with fish paste & prawn



Fry dou miao with meat
Ingredients:
Dou miao: 500g
Chicken Fillet: 3pcs, diced

seasoning:
Oyster Sauce: 2tbsp
water: 4tbsp

garlic: 2tbsp
Oil: 2tbsp

1. heat up wok, oil, stir fry garlic till fragrant, add in meats.
2. Once chicken is half cooked, add in the Dou Miao, add in seasoning & water.
2. cook till water is boiled. dish up & serve.

Steamed Tofu with fish paste & prawns

Ingredients:
Tofu: 1pc
Prawns: 5pcs, shelled, diced
Fish paste: 5tbsp

Spring onion: 1stalk, chopped finely

Seasoning:
2tbsp oyster sauce
water:4tbsp

** Corn starch: 1 or 2tsp corn flour + 2tbap water
******************************************************************
1. cut tofu into half & divide into 5pcs & placed onto steaming tray.
2. placed fish paste onto tofu & placed 1pc prawn on top. u cn sliced some muhroom & place ontop)Optional)
3. boil half pot water for steaming, when water is boiling placed in the tofu & steam for 10-13mins.
4. while tofu is steaming, we cn start prepared for tofu sauce.
5. heat up wok & stir fry garlic till fragrant then add in the oyster sauce & water. if this is still too watery for u, we cn thicken it with corn starch.
6. wen the water is lightly boiled, pour it over the tofu & sprinkle some spring onion.

17May- Steamed Fish(Red Snapper) & Fried long beans with eggs/mushroom



Our dinner: Nuggets, Steamed fish & Fried long beans with chicken. eggs & mushroom
Steamed Fish:
Ingredients:
Red Snapper: 1 pcs abt 500g
Mushroom: 3pcs, soaked, sliced.
Ginger: 3sliced
steamed fish soy sauce:3tbsp
Spring onion: diced or 4 small strips
Fried garlic oil: 1tbsp
half wok of water
***********************************************************************
1. Heat up wok with abt half wok water and steaming tray.
2. Lower the fire & placed the fish onto the steaming tray, decorate the fish with ginger/mushroom & spring onion
3. when the water are boiling, placed in the fish and steam for abt 10mins or till cooked.
4. after is cooked, b4 serving add in fried garlic oil & some spring onion(optional).

Fried long beans with eggs, chicken & shitake mushroom
ingredients:
Long beans: abt 6pcs, diced
Eggs: 2pcs, lightly beat
chicken fillet: 3pcs, diced
mushroom: 3pcs, soaked & sliced
seasoning:
light soy sauce:2tbsp
water: 3tbsp
constarch: corn flour: 2tsp + 2tbsp water
oil:2tbsp
**********************************************************************************
1. Is better to boil long beans with water(add in 1tsp oil & dash of salt) b4 frying to ensure is all cooked.
2. heat up wok with oil, add in garlic, chicken and mushroom. stir fry till fragrant
3. add in long beans & water. stir fry till is boil.
4. add in corn starch if is still too watery.
5. dish up & serve.

mixed veggies with prawn in claypot




This dish was frm a receipe book bt we modify it & add in the brocoli & egg tofu bt my egg tofu was badly deep fried. :) nevertheless, we enjoy this dish.

ingredients:
broccloli - 1 bunch, cut into smaller pcs.

prawns- 6pcs, shelled, develied

carrot - 1 pc, sliced
honey peas- 1 packet

egg tofu- 1 tube

roasted pork- 100g
mushroon- 6pcs, cut out the stalks.
garlic- 10-12g
seasoning:
oyster sauce- 1/2tbsp
salt- 1/4tsp
light soy sauce- 1tsp
pepper- 1/4tsp
corn starch
corn flour- 1tsp, mixed with 2tbsp water
**********************************************************************************
1. deep fry tofu till golden brown. dish and drain.
2. heat up oil in claypot or if ur pot is small, can fry ur ingredient in the frying pan then transfer back to the claypot.
3. heat up the oil, add in the garlic and giner till fragrant. add in prawns, roasted pork, honey peas, carrots and stir well. ass in seasoning, bean curd, cook for 2 mins & transfer back to claypot
4. if u do not too watery version, thicken with corn starch and remove from heat.
***if ordinary claypot is used, do not add in cold water to prevent it frm cracking.***

09Dec07 - BB had her first colic, so pitiful, bring her to NUH & was being prescribe 'get rid'solution

13Dec07 - BB had another colic

17Dec07 - BB refused milk & throw up thrice bt after giving her 'get rid' solution, she is fine again.

24Dec07 - BB had colic again.Finally bought her a pigeon wide neck milk bottle which say it has block wind function.

02Feb08 - BB had her 1st immune vaccine & she is handling well, no much crying... ...no fever, no cranky. given her some 'pao shen'water b4 going for jab. &
1st CNY with family, get to go out only in the afternoon as need to let her hv enuff nap Managed to get to a few relative place. Uncle Shane birthday on 1st day of CNY. Had Colic

Mar08- BB 2nd vaccine jab - the same, no much crying juz 1 scream when needle poke in...given her some 'pao shen'water b4 going for jab.BB 3rd vaccine jab - Same as all above.:) bt of course gt abit of discomfort.

May08-BB 4th & last immue jab as we opt for 6in1 jab...to lessen the torture...haha!!!Ah ma let me to hv my 1st taste of chicken...nt too gd...haha!

Jun08 - Had her 1st rice cereal. Finally bought a walker. start to mix mashed pumpkin with rice cereal. Bought Heinz veggies & fruit juice for trying, she didnt like it & i feel is better to give naural juice.

Start to blabbing 'ma ma' & 'pa pa'. Start to feed BB jae some brown rice cereals.
